Impossible Todo

Impossible Todo is a terminal (and web) based task tracking up a-la the web based TodoMVC apps. Made with Impossible.js.

Installing

Open terminal and run npm install -g impossible-todo.

Using

Just type todo

Tab and arrow to navigate. Enter to complete.
ctrl t change color theme
ctrl e to edit
ctrl d to delete
ctrl a to select toggle all button
ctrl x to select clear completed button.

Where is the data saved?

Data is saved in a json to local storage.

web version - local Storage.
terminal version - a json file at the package’s global path. The root is discovered by npm root --global. It will be under impossible-todo/__localStorage

Replay in terminal

You can replay the downloaded recording in your terminal using the asciinema play command:

Use with stand-alone player on your website

Download asciinema player from the releases page (you only need .js and .css file), then use it like this:

While this site doesn't provide GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed, generate a GIF with the following command:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/371126 demo.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg demo.cast demo.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
