my first successful demo after 100-ish takes!
don’t worry, i will be explaining + adding timestamps this on a proper web page after this semester is over…. (these are real homework that i really should start doing – i hope you can understand :)
this is just a comprehensive walk-thru in case you’re like me who get easily bored by chunks of text, with no satisfying output in sight.

P.S. if you are thinking of reminding me of the leaked token, thank you, but it has been disabled for the sake of my uni’s security. (i didn’t forget to do that!)

the second part strangely has its number preceding this one. (i guess it has to do with the order i uploaded, welp… but i don’t want to reupload just to cheat the numbers, so… but know that the second part is indeed recorded after this one!)

You can download this recording in asciicast v2 format, as a .cast file.

Replay in terminal

You can replay the downloaded recording in your terminal using the asciinema play command:

asciinema play 717309.cast

Use with stand-alone player on your website

Download asciinema player from the releases page (you only need .js and .css file), then use it like this:

While this site doesn't provide GIF conversion at the moment, you can still do it yourself with the help of asciinema GIF generator utility - agg.

Once you have it installed, generate a GIF with the following command:

agg https://asciinema.org/a/717309 demo.gif

Or, if you already downloaded the recording file:

agg demo.cast demo.gif

Check agg --help for all available options. You can change font family and size, select color theme, adjust speed and more.
